This is one of those special things on flickr that might have been over looked in our group.

Joey Harrison’s mother was a photographer in the grand rapids area back in the 40’s and 50’s in which time she took some amazing photos of what life was like back then in our town, before most of us were born. Joey has scanned these images into the computer and had his mother comment on these photographs. Not only are we seeing the history, but getting a first hand description of it as well. This is an amazing history lesson that I think can be appreciated by all of us.

    I love what Joey and his mom are doing with these! If anyone should make a coffee table book out of their work, it’s Joey.
